Twilight

OK so I saw how much that Tiff and Nikki talked about this series so I went and bought the first book in the series. They were so right. I can't hardly put this book down which is not a smart move on my part with a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I read when Zachary takes a nap while Caleb is at school. I also read it waiting to pick Caleb up from school and after I put the kids to bed. I can't wait to finish this book so that I can start the second one. I am so excited about the show coming out. I can't wait.I just want to say think you to my sisters for talking about it and getting me curious.

The trip to the Dentist!

Ok so yesterday Caleb had to go to the dentist to get a small cavity filled. I was more nervous then he was. But I didn't tell him either what the dentist was going to be doing. His first trip to the dentist went so well I didn't want him to think bad about going there. The people are so nice there. I had to bring Zachary too and Caleb wanted me to go in the room with him. Well the dentist came in and showed Caleb the tool that he would be using on his tooth. They didn't have to numb his mouth cause it was to small and they didn't have to do a whole lot. Well needless to say it took a total of maybe 10 min. at the most to fill his tooth. Caleb told me that it tickled and that it tasted very nasty. I tried not to laugh. He got a toy plane and a toy soldier from the dentist office for being so good. Zachary got the same toys as Caleb did too.

Well here we go again.

Alright. I just wanted to post and let everyone know what is going on here. We are expected to get Tropical Storm force winds which is 30-60 mph winds with gusts up to 74-80 mph. I am probably going to go to Nick's grandmothers house again. I just wanted to let everyone know what my plans were. I was hoping that we wouldn't get anything but it changed. I love ya'll and will keep you posted as I can. They are expecting that we are going to lose lights. I will keep in touch by phone when I can.

So far so good

Well so far it looks like Ike is going to Hit southern Texas. I know it sounds bad but I am so relieved. I pray that it won't be as bad as they are saying it is going to be.

Here we go again.

Well I was watching the weather channel today in hopes that Hurricane Ike had changed paths. Well from what I saw it hasn't. The path they are saying that is could run is into the Gulf and then hit somewhere in Louisiana or maybe in Texas. So here I am again. I will be at home by myself due to Nick having to go back to work on Tuesday night. I have decided that I will go to Shreveport for this storm if it does hit around here. So please pray that the lord will move the path of the storm to not hit the state of Louisiana. I really don't think that Louisiana could handle another Hurricane right now.

We Made It!!!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know how we are doing. We were without electricity for a day. There were trees down around town and a bunch of people without lights. We didn't get hit as everyone was expecting us too. Which I think is a blessing from God. Alexandria got the worst of it. They have flooding and tornado warnings, no lights, and trees down everywhere. We stayed at Nick's Grandmothers during and after the storm. She never lost lights and on top of the Hurricane coming in I had to take Zachary to the doctor on Tuesday. He has minor bronchitis. They put him on a cough medicine and a different antibiotic. He had to have x-rays taken of his chest. If he is not better by tomorrow he has to go back to the doctor. Please pray for him cause as of right now he is going to have to go to the doctor. We love ya'll. Tiffany you and Annabella are in our thoughts and prayers.

Getting ready for Hurricane Gustav.

Here are some pictures of Hurricane Gustav as he comes into Many, Louisiana. This was about 2:25 p.m. This is just the outer part.

Here are some of the supplies that mom bought me. We got plastic plates, bowls, cups, candles, charcoal( 2 bags) ,Lighter fluid, Aluminum pans to put on the grill, a hand held can opener, bread, & 2 16lbs. bags of ice.


Well I am here to let everyone know what is going on here with us. As everyone knows Hurricane Gustav is here. I went to wal-mart yesterday and mom got me some stuff so that when we lose electricity I will have things that I need. When we lose electricity we do not know for how long we will be without it. I am here by myself with the kids. And I have to admit I am scared to death. I have been praying all day long that we will be alright. I am trying to be strong for the kids but it is so hard. Nick gets home tomorrow morning so therefore I have to be at the house. Nicks grandmother wants us to go to her house and I would love to do theat the only problem is I don't know if I would be able to get back to the house. So I am asking everyone to please pray for me that I will have the strength and the peace of mind that we will be alright. Please also pray that Nick is safe as he has to work out in the weather tonight and has to drive home in it in the morning. I love ya'll and I will keep everyone posted on our situation.
